Konya - Torku Seker Spor - VIVELO - UCI Continental team came back from camp and competition in Alanya.

The bulgarian part of the team “Konya - Torku Seker Spor - VIVELO - UCI Continental team” returned from a two-week training camp in Alanya, Turkey. This was the first combined training camp for the turkish and the bulgarian athletes from the team. The new bicycles of the team; "Vivelo ERG RS Team Edition" together with the new suits from the Italian brand "Giordana" were also officially presented during this camp.
The camp served as a teambuilding experience and of course the daily training sessions improved the overall stamina of the athletes. The training schedule was thight and started at 8.30 each morning. The cyclists had to cover different predetermined distances every day, stretching sometimes to 200 kms. The total mileage covered by the riders during the training camp reached well over 1500 km.
On the 25.01.2011 after completing successfully his commitments in Italy the coach of our team, “Konya - Torku Seker Spor - VIVELO - UCI Continental team” Todor Kolev also joined the camp. He lead the team in the three-stage race in Alanya, which started on 29/01 and ended on the 31/01/2011.
This race was a very good start for our new team.
“Konya - Torku Seker Spor - VIVELO - UCI Continental team” pulled out a great performance and took the first place with a perfect final sprint in the "Men's 50 km criterium" race with average speed of over 42 km/h.
“Konya - Torku Seker Spor - VIVELO - UCI Continental team” had a great day in the cadets race too. The first and the second place in the "Cadets 31 km criterium" were secured by “Konya - Torku Seker Spor - VIVELO - UCI Continental team” riders with an average speed of over 31 km/h.

The Spanish cyclist of Caja Rural - Seguros RGA, Amets Txurruka, wins the first stage of the Vuelta a Asturias, with Jorge Martin Montenegro (Louletano) at second place and Mikel Landa (Euskatel) at third place.
Five riders went up the road early in the action, and the break was eventually whittled down to two riders: Amets Txurruka (Caja Rural) and Laurent Didier (RadioShack Leopard Trek).

Caja Rural, Movistar, Blanco and Argos-Shimano all shared the work up front for their sprinters on the flat roads before the finish.
