On 17. and 18. July in Sofia, on metropolitan velodrome "Serdika" in the Boris' Garden was held the State Individual and Team Track Cycling Championship in the junior youth age category.

Once again the young riders of cycling club Hemus 1896 - Vivelo have presented excellently, as in the 3000m team pursuit discipline our team, consisting of: Vladimir Rusenov, Minko Donkovski, Vlado Valkov and Tsvetoslav Konishev won the champion's title and bedeck themselves with gold medals, leaving behind the teams of Pazardjik, Nessebar, Svilengrad, Dobrich, Kazanlak, Burgas, Plovdiv, CSKA Sofia and Vidin.

In the 2000m individual pursuit discipline Vladimir Rusenov won a silver medal and Minko Donkovski scored fifth place of 50 riders from 13 teams. In the category 200m flying start Minko Donkovski remained 4th and in the Italian pursuit category our team, consisting of Vladimir Rusenov, Minko Donkovski and Vladimir Valkov came in fourth. In the most attractive discipline - points race, Vladimir Rusenov and Minko Donkovski took respectively 4th and 5th place. With a view to the fact that there is no velodrome in Troyan and the club is not a typical track cycling center, these are truly outstanding results. They show that a generation of talented and hardworking young riders is growing up in our cycling club.
