In the second stage of the prestigious International Cycling Tour of Slovenia, Vladimir Koev managed to finish 10th.
Stage was between cities Tržiè and Golte with 171 km distance.
This was the most difficult stage for riders to date.
Launched in Tržiè which is 522 meters above sea level and finished in Golte (1386m Had to overcome three different heights that lead to rupture of large groups.
First finishes Diego ULISSI (Ita) Lampre - ISD with a time 4:19:07 h, in the top ten attended Robert VRECER (SLO), Giovanni VISCONTI (Ita) and Carlos SASTRE (Esp) Kotto finished ninth just one place ahead of our competitor Vladimir Koev "Konya Torku Seker Spor - VIVELO - UCI Continental team".
Last year's winner in the tour Vincenzo NIBALI (Ita) finished more than 5 minutes before the winner of 25th place and thus remain only theoretical chances to protect his victory of 2010
Vladimir Koev climbed to 11th place in the final standings and remains a real chance to finish in the top ten tour.
